PRIVACY POLICIES AND REFUND POLICIES
Privacy Statement
The Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) collects information on a
voluntary basis from members, customers and visitors to our site, when
they choose to register or place an order with us. To ensure easy
shopping and timely product delivery we ask for information including
your name, address, email address, phone number and credit card
information. All of these are necessary for purchase and quick
communication with you about the status of your order.
IAQA also collects information including Browser Type, IP address, and
server information from consumers who write to us about technical
problems. In addition, we collect aggregate information on pages
visited.
IAQA, or any other reputable online retailer, would never request
personal credit information from our customers via an e-mail or link. To
insure the safety of your personal credit, please do not respond to such
a request from anyone.
Information Use
Members, persons and customers who supply us with their telephone
numbers online may receive telephone contact from us with information
regarding orders they have placed online to ensure quality. The
information we collect is used to (1) improve the content of our web
site, customer service, and provide technical support (2) contact
consumers about updates to our web site and for marketing purposes, such
as alerting customers of new merchandize available. This information is
not shared with other organizations for commercial purposes. This means
we will not distribute, sell or rent your name or personal information
to any third party.
Your name will be removed from our email list if you request not to be
contacted for future product additions.
Sharing of Information
IAQA may share non-personal, non-individual information in aggregate
form with its marketing partners for research purposes. We will not tell
our marketing partners that you purchased a specific product, but we may
tell them how many customers purchased a product.
Cookies
IAQA currently does not use cookies to store any sensitive or personal
information. We use cookies to store your Customer ID and shopping cart
contents. These cookies do not damage your system or files in any way.
Security
To protect our members, we use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to
encrypt the payment information you send us when you place your order,
through the services of a third party: VeriSign. The information is
encrypted on your computer, sent through the Internet as jumbled code,
and decoded on VeriSign's secure server. It cannot be read in transit.
We don't store your credit card number, since your credit card is
requested and processed by VeriSign and not by our server.
Policy Changes and Miscellaneous Information
We intend to cooperate fully should a situation arise where we are
required by law or legal process to provide information about a
customer. Any changes to our Privacy Policy will be posted here.
Refund Policy
IAQA will provide a full refund of the purchase price of any product or
service for any reason within fifteen (15) days of the receipt of a
written refund request and/or the return of the purchased product or
service. Please note that refunds for meeting registration fees and
other events will be made less a 10 percent processing fee if the
request is made less than fifteen (15) days before the first day of the
event. Service products will be suspended or discontinued upon refunding
your payment. |
